Imagine this… Its mid October and the weather can’t decide if its Summer or Autumn yet. Halloween is at the end of the month with Bonfire Night a few days later. Everybody’s starting to get all excited as you do around this time of year with fireworks and whatnot to watch.

You decide to take a trip in to town to look round the shops and maybe treat yourself. So you walk in to a shop, and what do you see…Christmas decorations everywhere! Tinsel, baubles, so many toys, advent calendars, selection boxes!!!!!! All of a sudden you’re not considering treating yourself anymore, you’re actually considering doing all of your Christmas shopping!!!!!

Now I absolutely love Christmas and am not a Scrooge at all but sometimes I do think that this is getting out of hand. Shops are starting to get ready for Christmas before we have even celebrated Halloween and Bonfire Night!!! I can understand this happening in November but surely October is a bit silly.

The worst thing is…I’m actually starting my Christmas shopping on my payday at the end of the month!!! I’m really beginning the think that there are subliminal messages in these Christmas songs we hear in shops and all of the toys etc.

So guys…what are your thoughts on us preparing for Christmas 3 months early????
