A FAMILY escaped from their home in Stone after a fire started in the hallway.
Firefighters were called to Church Road just before midnight last night (October 15).
Police are investigating the cause of the fire which damaged 60 per cent of the hall stairs and landing of the house.
Two adults and a child were alerted to the fire when a smoke alarm went off.
They were able to escape through the back of the house and raise the alarm.
A 33-year-old woman was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Two fire engines from Dartford attended under the supervision of watch manager Lloyd Cowton and the fire was out by about 2am.
