INTEREST in Scouting is on the rise in Bromley.
The Greater London South East Scout county has launched a new phone hotline, where people can find out more information about Scouting in their area.
The county covers the boroughs of Bromley and Bexley, and the new line will help parents whose children would like to join, and adults who would like to get involved.
Children can join the Beavers from the age of six, but there is no upper age limit on becoming a helper.
Most of the adults involved in Scouting are not leaders, but help at meetings or activities, assist with administration or have a skill or hobby, such as sailing or cooking, which they would like to share.
Nearly half the helpers involved in Scouting are women.
If you would like to find out more about Scouting or becoming a helper, call the new hotline on 08444 142769.
