BROMLEY council has been trying to help out small businesses by hosting a networking event.
More than 285 delegates, representing 231 businesses from the borough, descended on the Churchill Theatre in Bromley High Street.
They were able to meet buyers from public sector agencies including Bromley Council, the NHS and Bromley Adult Education College at the free Boost Your Business event.
Seminars were held with representatives of trade organisations such as the South East London Chamber of Commerce, Business Link and Federation of Small Businesses.
Bromley Council's portfolio holder for local economy Councillor Julian Benington said: “Particularly in the current climate, the more we can do to support local businesses and local jobs the better.”
The next Boost Your Business event will be held next March.
