TWO youngsters who designed posters reminding people to clean up after their dogs have had their drawings used on refuse trucks.
During the spring, Lewisham Council ran a competition for under-16s to design a poster using the motto “bag it and bin it”.
Tess Daley, 10, from Gordonbrock Primary School, Gordonbrock Road, Brockley, and Nicole St Lewism, 12, from Prendergast Hilly Fields school, Adelaide Avenue, Brockley, were picked from 85 entries.
Their posters were enlarged and put up on the sides of two refuse trucks, reminding dog owners to clean up after their dogs.
Failure to do so can lead to a fine from £50 to £1,000.
Tess said: “It’s really great to see my poster up on the side of the truck. It’s looks so big from my little drawing. I can’t wait to see the truck with my picture on go past me in the street.”
