STAFF at a girls clothes store took part in a fun day to raise money for charity.
The shop called ‘For Girlys by Tracey Baker’ in New Road, Gravesend held the event on Saturday.
They raised over hundred pounds for Cancer Research UK’s breast cancer awareness campaign, ‘It’s a girl thing’, which was launched at the end of August.
Shop owner, Tracey Baker said: “I’ve done a lot of fund raising work for the charity in the past.
“I wanted to organise something not only to help raise money, but also to promote awareness about the campaign.”
The staff gave out balloons, stickers and leaflets whilst collecting money in a bucket.
Ten per cent of the stores profits made on the day will also be donated to the charity.
The campaign aims to make women aware of the risk of breast cancer and to raise funds to tackle the disease.
