HOPES for a professional dancing career have just soared for teenager Chloe Shillibeer.
She has been selected for a major role in this year’s 21st anniversary season of the National Youth Ballet.
Chloe, 16, of Lincoln Road, Sidcup, will dance in performances at the Hackney Empire, Birmingham Hippodrome and the Ashcroft Theatre, Croydon, at the end of this month, in November and in February next year.
A pupil at the Cheryl Thrush School of Dance in Halstead near Sevenoaks, Chloe attended auditions in May for a role with the National Youth Ballet and attended a week-long summer school in Birmingham.
She will dance the role of Suzy Scatterbrain in the Doll’s House Fantasia and is understudy for the main roles in two other pieces.
Chloe is currently studying for her GCSEs at Beaverwood School, Beaverwood Road, Chislehurst.
She plans to audition for a place at a dance school to study ballet and musical theatre.
