DURING the summer months we had a talk on Changing Docklands by Leslie Broster and a members’ evening in which members made their own entertainment with games and quizzes.
There was also a visit to see The Wizard of Oz at a theatre in London’s West End and a Posh Hats and Frocks tea party on a lovely warm day.
Lst month’s meeting was entitled Modelling Feet First and involved a very interesting talk by Julia Hunt, whose career started as shoes and stockings model. Julia travelled all over the world meeting and working for many distinguished fashion houses. Eventually starting her own modelling agency and introducing many well known faces into the advertising world.
Our next meeting on Monday 20 October is the general meeting followed by a fish and chip supper.
