IT’S been two weeks since I last updated everyone on my Swap Shopper progress, so here is the latest news.
The truth is there is not actually an update to give you. Not yet anyway.
I’ve given my mission a lower profile for a little while as I’ve been in discussions with someone who I hope will soon be able to make me a firm offer to complete my challenge.
I’m hoping to receive an offer to exchange the £2,000 Beaumont marquee voucher which I’m currently holding for a £1,000 charity donation, which was the target I set out with at the beginning when I had just a humble News Shopper keyring to trade.
The person I’ve been talking to is getting married abroad next year and wants to hold a party here for friends and family.
There have been a good few things to get sorted out, which is why I’ve not got any definite news to report right now, but if it comes off then it will be a lovely happy ending to Swap Shopper I.
The person I swap with will get a £2,000 party for half price and I’ll get to finish my challenge, plus there’ll be a nice wedding tale to round it off.
I’m a bit nervous because I’ve been at this nearly-there stage before, but hopefully I’ll have some positive news to share next week.
If this doesn’t happen then I’ll be back to square one with this latest swap!
