Well it’s been a long time since I have written a blog so thought I had better get on here asap as it seems the blog is dying. Maybe it’s because people are off on their wonderful holidays (I can’t wait for mine)
So whilst I’m here I thought I’d discuss something that’s been bothering me. Well, actually a couple of issues.
I used to be a huge Coca Cola drinker. An addict would probably be a better word for it. I drank absolutely nothing else. Recently, I have been attempting to lose weight and I knew that Coke was my biggest downfall because I was near enough drinking my daily calorie allowance. Therefore, I stopped drinking it (something that was immensely difficult!!) Seeing as I was doing so well and my main drink of choice is now water, I thought I would treat myself to a small bottle of Coke. Now bearing in mind that since I have been trying to lose weight I have become very calorie conscious. Now Coca Cola and all of the other drinks, very nicely have a big information bit which clearly shows the calories. So I happily treated myself. Now, imagine by shock when I was looking at the bottle after, and in small writing near the calorie information it states “these amounts are based on 250ml and there is x2 of this in this bottle” Why did they not just add up the amount of calories etc and put the full amount instead of trying to be verrrrry sly!!!!! Well…it has quickly put me off the Coke again!!!
Something else which has been bothering me is Volvic water. They claim that for every litre we buy of their water, they will donate 10l to worse off countries. What I don’t understand is why they don’t donate that water to the people in those countries anyway!!!! Anyone who has a heart and who can arrange something like that would surely do it without requesting anything back…wouldn’t they? Apparently not in this case. I think it’s a fantastic example of how this country is a mess!!!
Feel free to leave your opinions below and I hope you are all well
