POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an accident in Abbey Road, Belvedere, in which a 23-year-old woman died.
The woman, whose identity is being withheld at the request of her family, was walking along the pavement in Abbey Road, near the junction with Laymarsh Close, on March 3 at 11.30am, when she was hit by a Ford Fiesta.
The Fiesta had been travelling along Abbey Road towards Abbey Wood when it collided with a car pulling away from the kerb.
The Fiesta mounted the pavement and hit a garden wall and the woman. She was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital by air ambulance, but died from her injuries.
