A 43-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in Eltham.

The incident happened in Well Hall Road near Sherard Road just before 2.30pm on November 30.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man who had been stabbed.

He was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as non life-threatening but may be life-changing.

A woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and was remanded into custody to appear at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on December 2.  

She was further remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on December 6.

Officers say there are no other suspects believed to be outstanding.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 2.28pm on Saturday 30 November to reports of a stabbing incident in Well Hall Road, Eltham.

“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car and London’s Air Ambulance.

“Our crews treated a man at the scene, before taking him to a London major trauma centre by road, as a priority.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 14:29hrs on Saturday, 30 November to reports of a stabbing incident in Well Hall Road, Eltham.

“Officers joined London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance colleagues at the scene, where paramedics treated a man, before taking him to hospital.

“His injuries are not said to be life-threatening but may be life-changing.

“A 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and was remanded into custody over the weekend to appear at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 2 December.

“She was further remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 6 December.

“There are no other suspects believed to be outstanding.
