A road in Petts Wood is set to close all weekend for a Christmas carnival.
Petts Wood Road, from its junction with Woodland Way to the car park, will be shut to through traffic for the event.
The closure is set to begin at 6.30pm today (November 29), and will be in place until 10pm on Saturday, November 30.
The Petts Wood Christmas Carnival will take place on Saturday, November 30, from 12pm to 6pm in Station Square and Queensway, Orpington.
The event is an annual community fundraising occasion and this year will support the Chris Aked Foundation.
The foundation is a local charity that helps families who have suffered a bereavement.
The carnival will feature Santa Claus, Christmas lights, children's rides, and live performances, providing festive fun for all ages.
The council has stated that pedestrian access to properties will be maintained at all times.
Access for vehicles will be maintained "as far as is practicable" from either side of the closure, and emergency access will be maintained at all times.
The council's Environmental Services Department (Traffic Section) can be contacted on 020 8313 4231 for any queries regarding the closure.
The council's Public Notice reads: "The order will come into effect at 6.30pm on Friday, November 29, 2024, and will end at 10pm on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
"Nothing in this order shall prevent pedestrian access at any time to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which the order relates, or to any other premises which are accessible from such a road."
