Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection to a stabbing in Camberwell.

The incident happened in Walworth Road just before 4.30am on October 7.

Emergency services attended the scene and found a 50-year-old woman who had been stabbed.

She was taken to hospital, where her injuries were assessed as neither life-threatening nor life changing.

Today (November 22), officers released images of a man they wish to find in connection with the incident.

He is pictured wearing a black beanie hat and grey tracksuit bottoms.

No arrests have been made, and police enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Southwark MPS said: “We are appealing for help to identify a man we want to speak to following a stabbing that took place between 3.30am – 4.30am on October 7, Walworth Road, Camberwell.

“Anyone with any information which may help is asked to contact police quoting 01/929707/24.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 04:24hrs on 7 October to reports of a stabbing in Walworth Road SE17.

“Officers responded with LAS and found a 50-year-old woman with stab injuries.

“The woman’s injuries we deemed not life threatening; no arrests and enquiries continue.”
