A man has been arrested after he is alleged to have “made off” from police on a motorcycle with a cloned number plate.
The incident happened yesterday (November 15) at around 9pm, when police were making enquiries to trace a suspect on a motorcycle with a cloned number plate.
The suspect allegedly “made off” from police before entering Bostall Woods on the bike.
He was later arrested and taken into custody.
The bike was later recovered by police.
In a statement, Metropolitan Police said: “At around 21.00hrs on Friday, 15 November officers were in Bostall Woods, Bexley making enquiries to trace a suspect after a motorcycle on cloned number plates made off from police.
“The suspect entered the woods on the bike.
“He was arrested a short time later and taken into custody. The bike was recovered by officers.”
