The business first began in 2006 serving a mix of British and Mediterranean food such as Pie and Mash and Toasted Bagels cooked by restaurant owner and chef Raif Hassan, who has worked in the culinary industry for 35 years.

Over the years it has built up a strong “community” with “love and loyalty”, serving locals as well as football professionals from Charlton Athletics FC, who “regularly stop by the café.”

Owner Raif Hassan said: “Winning the Good Food Award is a huge thank you to everyone who's supported us from day one.

“It's a reflection of the loyalty and love we've received from all of you who keep coming back, week after week.

“For us, it's more than an award - it's a reminder of the community we've created and the familiar faces we get to see every day.

“We couldn't have done it without you, and we'll keep working hard to make you proud.”
