Greenwich’s popular Sparkle in the Park Christmas light trail is set return this month for Christmas – and it’s completely free.
Running from November 28 to December 1, Sparkle in the Park run by the Royal Borough of Greenwich is set to return to a new location.
Following the success of last year's event, which has previously taken place at Avery Hill Park and Well Hall Pleasaunce, this year's event will be held at Charlton House and Gardens.
Charlton will be transformed into a festive wonderland both inside and out, with festive light displays created by FESTIVAL.ORG.
For 4 days this historic 17th century house inInside, the house will be turned into a Winter Tavern, with Mrs Claus experiences for the children.
Meanwhile outside you can find a choir with festive performances from local schools as well as a funfair and Christmas market.
What you need to know
The event is completely free to visitors with no pre-booked tickets required.
However the Royal Borough of Greenwich has advised to expect queues during busy periods.
The light trail will open between 4:30pm and 9pm from November 28 until December 1, including a quiet hour session running on December 1 at 4:30pm with reduced lighting and sound.
How to get there
You can reach Charlton House and Gardens on the 53, 54 and 422 buses, or by train from Charlton or Westcombe Park stations via Thameslink or Southeastern services.
