Comedian and TV presenter, Tom Allen, will be turning on the Christmas Lights in his hometown of Bromley.
The stand-up star was born and raised in Bromley and will be hosting the Christmas Light Switch On event on Sunday, November 17, organised by Your Bromley.
The Lights Switch on event will begin at midday with a ‘mini’ switch on of the Christmas tree in The Glades, before moving to the stage in Market Square where performances from local dance and performing arts schools including Danceworks, All the Arts, GDND and Studio 74.
They will be followed by live music from the local Rock Choir.
Kent-based band, Whiskey & Wine, will take to the stage to sing some festive songs and build up excitement before the town centre lights are switched on as darkness falls.
Tom will be joined on stage by the winner of the Local Hero competition, who will be presented with their prizes and then help push the button to light up the town centre.
Tom said: “I am really excited to turn on the lights in my hometown of Bromley. I can’t wait. It’s really special for me to be part of this festive celebration.”
