Police are investigating reports of suspected human remains and bones in Thamesmead.
A cordon is in place near bushes at Sewell Road, Thamesmead, today (November 6) at 12.36pm.
Reports were made of suspected human remains and bones in the area, although what this actually is unconfirmed.
Forensics officers have been at the scene trying to determine what it is and enquiries are ongoing.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 12:36hrs on Wednesday, 6 November to reports of suspected human remains/bones at Sewell Road, Thamesmead.
“A cordon has been put in place while forensic officers examine the item and establish its origins.”
