Figures have revealed the levels of obesity among year six-age schoolchildren in south east London.
The figures, published by NHS England, are based on findings from the Government’s National Child Measurement Programme.
This covers mainstream state-maintained schools, and the figures have shown the levels of obesity in school children between the ages of 10 and 11.
The data is compiled by the postcode address of the child, not the postcode address of their school, and has ranked each borough from highest to lowest.
Southwark was among those with the highest figures of year six-age obesity in the UK and was ranked at number nine nationally with 27.6 percent, after Hull and before North East Lincolnshire.

- Greenwich with 26.6 percent

- Bexley with 23.2 percent
- Bromley with 17.6 percent
