Many Londoners may not know that pop star Pixie Lott was born in Bromley.
Born as Victoria Louise Lott, the singer was born in Bromley in 1991 at what is now the Princess Royal University Hospital.
She went to St Nicholas Church of England Primary School in Chislehurst.
She also attended Italia Conti's Saturday School in Chislehurst before auditioning and earning a scholarship to the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts at the Barbican in London, where she achieved nine A's in her GCSEs.
As she grew up, she appeared in a West End production of the musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and also played Louisa von Trapp in BBC One’s Celebrate the Sound of Music.
Pixie's music career took off at just 15 years old when record producer LA Reid discovered her.
Soon after, she signed with Universal Music and skyrocketed to international fame in 2009 with her debut album, Turn It Up.
The album achieved Multi-Platinum status, fueled by five top 20 singles, including her breakout chart-topping hit “Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)” and her second number-one single, “Boys & Girls.”
After the success of Turn It Up, Pixie released her second album, Young Foolish Happy, in 2011.
This album produced her biggest number-one hit to date, "All About Tonight," which enjoyed international success and held the top spot on Japanese radio for six weeks.
Her third studio album, Pixie Lott, released in 2014, featured her seventh Top 10 single.
Recently, Pixie released her critically acclaimed fourth album, Encino, which peaked at #8 on the UK’s Official I
ndependent Albums Chart.
BBC Radio 2 named Encino Album of the Week and playlisted her singles "Somebody’s Daughter" and "Midnight Trash" extensively.
This summer, she performed at Radio 2 in the Park.
In autumn 2025, she is set to embark on a headline UK tour.
Pixie has achieved three UK number-one singles, sold over four million singles, toured globally, and sold 1.6 million albums worldwide.
She has also written songs for top stars like Selena Gomez and South Korean girl group Girls’ Generation.
Her collaborations span music legends such as Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, and John Legend, as well as the K-pop supergroup Big Bang (GD & TOP), with whom she achieved a number-one hit in South Korea and Singapore.
Pixie’s music has appeared in numerous film soundtracks, and her YouTube views have surpassed 452 million.
She’s a four-time BRIT Award nominee and the recipient of two MTV European Music Awards.
A true quadruple threat—singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer—Pixie has a variety of other projects in progress.
This year, she began filming Christmas Karma, featuring an all-star cast that includes Eva Longoria, Hugh Bonneville, Charithra Chandran, Billy Porter, and Boy George.
She also appeared in ITV’s crime drama McDonald and Dodds and recently starred in a special, sold-out performance of Made In Dagenham at London’s Palladium.
No stranger to TV, Pixie has served as a coach on ITV’s The Voice Kids, where she mentored the winning acts in its first two seasons.
She has also guest-judged on The X Factor and appeared on major TV shows worldwide.
Her stage credits include a leading role as Holly Golightly in Richard Greenberg's adaptation of Breakfast at Tiffany’s, receiving rave reviews and selling out theatres across the UK, including a 12-week run in London’s West End.
In the fashion world, Pixie has established herself as a style icon.
She debuted on the runway for Dolce & Gabbana in Milan and performed for Fendi at Paris Fashion Week, in front of Karl Lagerfeld, as well as for Moschino in Milan.
She collaborated with Schiaparelli and Daniel Roseberry on her wedding dress and frequently attends their haute couture shows.
Pixie has partnered with top brands like Tommy Hilfiger and has graced major fashion magazines globally, including Paper, Wonderland, InStyle, Grazia, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Vanity Fair, Interview, L’Officiel, and Marie Claire.
Pixie is an Ambassador for The Prince’s Trust, Cardiac Risk in the Young, Rays of Sunshine, Alzheimer’s Research UK, and WellChild.
She also shares her passion for the arts with young people through Pixie Lott’s Performing Arts Academy, which she opened in 2014 to provide aspiring children with opportunities to succeed in performing arts.
She even appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2014 and made it all the way to the quarterfinals, and has won as a voice coach on The Voice Kids 4 times.
In 2010, she began a relationship with model Oliver Cheshire and the pair got married in 2022 and the couple had a son the following year.
