Waterloo Bridge is set to close southbound for a weekend due to resurfacing works.

The bridge will close from 8am on Saturday, November 2 until 4pm on Sunday, November 3.

During this time, numerous bus routes will be diverted or terminated early:

  • 1, 59, 68, 76, 139, 172, 176, 188, 243, 341, N1, N68, N171 and N343 will be diverted or stop short of their destinations.
  • 76 will not serve Waterloo - buses will start and finish from Aldwych.
  • 139 will not serve Waterloo - buses will start and finish from Trafalgar Square.
  • 172 will not serve Aldwych - buses will start and finish from Waterloo.
  • 1, 59, 68, 139, 176 188, 243, N1, N68, and N171 will serve all stops on diversion via Westminster Bridge.
  • 341 and N343 will serve all stops on diversion via Blackfriars Bridge

Towards Waterloo: stop S at Aldwych/Drury Lane, or last stop at Waterloo Station/Mepham Street

Towards Penge: stop K at Charing Cross Road/St Martin's Place, or stop D at Waterloo station/Waterloo Road

Route 341

Towards Waterloo: stop HT at Farringdon St/Snow Hill, or last stop E at Waterloo station/Waterloo Road

Towards New Cross Gate: stop A at Southampton Street/Covent Garden, or stop SM at Southwark Street/Blackfriars Road
