A road has been closed off for hours after a cyclist injured his head in a crash.
Burnell Avenue in Welling was taped off by police on October 28 for hours into the evening.
According to a Metropolitan Police spokesperson, it was due to a man who crashed his bicycle and suffered a head injury.
The force said it believes that no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
A spokesperson added that the injuries did not appear to be life threatening, but a scene remained in place for an extended time until police received a confirmation from the hospital.
The road closure has since been lifted.
Eyewitnesses have claimed that the cyclist crashed after colliding with a bin left on the pavement of the road.
The London Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
