A man has been arrested after two people were found stabbed in a park in south east London. 

Police were called to Bermondsey Spa Gardens in Spa Road at approximately 3.07pm on October 28 with reports of an assault.

Officers were dispatched with paramedic colleagues where they found a teenager and a man with stab wounds at the scene. 

Their ages have not been confirmed by the Metropolitan Police. 

One of the males was taken to a major trauma centre whilst the other was taken to hospital. 

Their injuries have been reported as not life-changing, according to police. 

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in police custody at this time. 

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said:  “We were called at 3.03pm yesterday (Monday 28 October) to reports of a stabbing incident in Spa Road, SE1.

“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews and members of our Tactical Response Unit.

“The first of our crews arrived in two minutes.

“Our crews treated two males at the scene, before taking one a London major trauma centre as a priority and the other to hospital.”

A crime scene that was in place yesterday has since been lifted.
