Shocking footage shows the moment a fire ripped apart one of two houses which were destroyed on the same day.
The house in Plaistow Lane is recorded ablaze as the flames spread and tore the first floor of the house and damaged the ground floor on Sunday (October 27).
Emergency services were called at 4.05am to the Bromley road.
One video shows the moment the Plaistow Lane house had smoke and flames rising from the roof.
Separately, fire services were also called later into the day to Orchard Road at 9.50pm to another fire, where most of the ground floor and all the first floor were destroyed.
The cause of both fires is currently under investigation, and police have not ruled out the possibility that the two may be connected.
They are located less than 300 metres away from each other.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “This is an active investigation and police are keeping an open mind as to whether these incidents are linked.”
Anyone who has information about either incident is asked to call police on 101, or contact @MetCC on X, providing the reference 1620/27OCT for the Plaistow Lane fire and 7706/27OCT for the Orchard Road fire.
