AI’s Role in Art
AI art has garnered immense attention in the last few months, with tools like DALL-E revolutionizing how we see art with short phrases like ‘sunset in a futuristic city’. AI is creating unique and detailed pictures in a matter of seconds. This is creating a vast array of opportunities for people in all industries, changing peoples perspectives of artwork as time consuming and hard to quick and easy.
While all these benefits are amazing to the average person, lets look at the main people in this equation. Artists. Many artists are concerned about how this new futuristic technology is going to affect the complexity of the art world that has been crafted over thousands of years. Will AI-generated artwork flood the market? Can we really get the same result in a few seconds that we usually get in a few months? Are we being unrealistic?
AI-Assisted Writing
AI tools like GPT-4 are being used more and more in the writing world, where they assist with everything from drafting blog posts and helping to write articles similar to the ones you are reading right now. Writers can use AI to generate text, brainstorm ideas, or improve their writing. While some fear AI might replace human writers, it’s more likely that AI will become a useful tool. Can you imagine an office filled with robots all writing articles on what the most popular celebrities eat for breakfast? Probably not. Writers will still control the creative process, using AI to help them work more efficiently. However, questions remain about originality and authorship—when an AI helps write a story, who truly owns it?
So Is AI Taking Over The World?
In short, AI still has a lot more work to do before we can even fathom the idea of 100 percent AI-functioning workspaces. However, it is having a huge impact on our life already at this stage and is not something to be taken lightly. But what do you think, is AI going to be the next Picasso?
