A police investigation has been launched after two multi-million pound Bromley houses were destroyed in a fire.
Police were called to a fire in Plaistow Lane on Sunday (October 27) at 4.05am.
The first floor of the house was destroyed, and half of the ground floor was also damaged by the blaze and there were on reports of any injuries.
Separately, police were also called later into the day to Orchard Road at 9.50pm to another fire where most of the ground floor and all the first floor were destroyed.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “This is an active investigation and police are keeping an open mind as to whether these incidents are linked.”
Both houses were less than 300 metres away from each other and the investigation is ongoing to see whether this was arson and the cause of the flames.
Anyone who has information about either incident is asked to call police on 101, or contact @MetCC on X, providing the reference 1620/27OCT for the Plaistow Lane fire and 7706/27OCT for the Orchard Road fire.
Information can also be provided to Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
