The A20 slip road off junction 3 on the M25 will face significant temporary traffic restrictions for six months.
Starting on Wednesday, November 6, the west quadrant of the roundabout between the slip roads of the A20 will be closed overnight.
The A20 slip roads at M25 junctions 3 connects the M25 with the M20 and provides a vital link between Kent, London and the south east.
The overnight closures will be in place from 9pm to 5.30am.
The slip road leading from the anticlockwise carriageway of the M25 at junction 3 will be closed around the clock.
A 24-hour 40mph speed limit will be enforced on the roundabout at M25 junction 3 and on the slip road from the westbound carriageway of the M20 at junction 1.
A 24-hour vehicle width restriction of 2.75 metres will also be imposed on the roundabout.
The measures, implemented under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 by National Highways Limited, aim to ensure road safety while contractors carry out bridge, carriageway, and concrete repairs.
The work is anticipated to take around six months, with the order coming into force on November 4 and lasting a maximum of 18 months.
Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted via other junctions of the M25, M20, A20, or by using the A224, A25, and A225.
Oversized vehicles that cannot use the roundabout will be guided to appropriate diversion routes.
The temporary speed limits, narrow lane closures, and diversion routes will be clearly marked by traffic signs throughout the work period.
