Former Man V Food star Adam Richman had thousands of dollars worth of equipment, clothing and medication stolen from his van while at a motorway service station in Barnet.

Richman, who was in the UK filming Adam Richman Eats Britain, was driving from Birmingham to London and said he and his crew had their can cleared out when they stopped at London Gateway Services on the M1 for 4 and a half minutes.

In a succession of posts on X, he revealed the whereabouts of some of his stolen equipment, as location tracking appeared to trace it to Cricklewood, Kilburn and South Hampstead.

But after the Metropolitan Police warned him not to share location updates and offer rewards, he stressed people should not try to get his belongings back.

The TV star wrote on X: “Thanks to everyone for their outpouring of support in the wake of the theft of all my possessions yesterday.

“When you’re alone & so far from home, it means a lot.

“While I deeply appreciate everyone’s offers of help, PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOURSELF OR OTHERS IN HARM'S WAY.

“It’s bad enough I have been affected, I don’t want ANYONE (other than the thief, of course) else in a world of hurt.”

The 50-year-old shared screenshots of his laptop in Cricklewood, East Finchley, and Golders Green, and offered a reward for any information.

His original post on X has been viewed 3.2 million times.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 2.49pm on Wednesday, 23 October following reports of a theft from a van at London Gateway Services on the M1.”

“Items including cameras and laptops were stolen.

“Officers are continuing enquiries.

“No arrests have been made at this stage.”

Richman, who rose to fame on the TV show Man V Food, was in the UK filming his new show which has been described as a love letter to British cuisine.
