A body has been found in Gravesend during a search for a missing man from Erith.
The discovery was made in an undergrowth near Wrotham Road just before 3.40pm on October 21.
Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene and a man was confirmed dead.
While formal identification is yet to take place, the family of a 39-year-old man from Erith, who was reported missing on October 5, have been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Kent Police was called at 3.39pm on Monday 21 October to a report of a body being found in undergrowth near Wrotham Road, Gravesend.
“Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where a man was confirmed deceased.
“Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of a 39 year old man from Erith, who was reported missing on Saturday 5 October, have been informed.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”
