The Dartford Crossing has reopened again after a “police incident” which shut the tunnel overnight.
All lanes were shut on the M25 QE2 bridge from junction 31 A1306 (Lakeside / Purfleet) to junction 1A A206 (Dartford) last night (October 22).
A police-led incident was first reported at around 6.45pm, and the bridge was shut for hours until it fully reopened at around 10pm.
Trapped traffic was being diverted through the right hand Dartford tunnel during the closure.
Essex Police has since said that the closure was due to a man reportedly seen entering the water.
The disruption came after two days of other incidents affecting the Dartford Crossing in the morning of October 22, as well as closures on October 21.
