This is the shocking moment a Tesco lorry burst into flames following a crash on the M25.
Emergency services responded to a fire between Junction 5 near Sevenoaks and Junction 6 near Godstone shortly after 10pm yesterday (October 20).
The incident led to a full closure of the M25 in both directions.
Dashcam footage shows a driver travelling alongside the truck when it appears to slow down and put on the brakes.
The video then shows the lorry crashing headfirst into the central reservation that separates the motorway from the slip lane.
The lorry then bursts into flames and comes to a halt.
Police confirmed that the driver involved sustained only minor injuries.
A spokesperson for Tescos said: "We are supporting the emergency services with their investigations into an incident involving one of our vehicles on the M25 last night".
Surrey Fire and Rescue sent five fire engines and two water carriers to tackle the blaze.
While the anti-clockwise carriageway reopened this morning (October 21), lanes 3 and 4 near Junction 6 remain closed.
The clockwise carriageway is still shut and is expected to stay closed until at least midday for specialist recovery and possible resurfacing.
Surrey Police have advised motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
National Highways has reported severe delays on all approaches.
