An arrest has been made following a series of phone thefts in Eltham.
Three phone snatchings occurred in the SE9 postcode yesterday (October 20), all carried out by suspects on e-bikes within 30 minutes.
One of these incidents took place at Eltham BR Station, where a lone woman was assaulted.
Officers detained a suspect after he fell from his bike on Sherard Road, and he has since been arrested.
During the investigation, two additional stolen phones and a bank card were recovered.
The Robbery Squad is conducting a further investigation into the incidents.
Greenwich Police have urged the public to keep their belongings secure.
A spokesperson for Greenwich MPS said: "Yesterday, three phone snatchings took place in SE9 within 30 minutes, carried out by suspects on e-bikes.
"One incident at Eltham BR Station involved a lone woman being assaulted.
"Officers detained a suspect after he fell from his bike on Sherard Road.
"He’s now under arrest, and two more phones and a bank card were recovered during the investigation.
"The Robbery Squad is looking into it further.
"Stay alert and keep your belongings secure."
