The first tribute has been laid at the scene of a fatal crash which claimed the lives of a pregnant woman and her unborn baby in Eltham.
It follows an incident on the A20 near the junction with Kidbrooke Park Road where an unmarked police car was involved in a crash.
Emergency services, including London's Air Ambulance, were dispatched to the scene that saw the road closed for more than 12 hours.
A pregnant woman, aged 38, was found inside a car and died from her injuries along with her unborn child.
The first tribute, a bouquet of what appears to be white flowers, has been propped against some railings at the scene.
It reads: "My deepest thoughts are with you and your baby, your family and friends.
"The most awful tragedy that should never have happened.
"Rest in peace beautiful and your baby."
A candle has also been left by the flowers.
A woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, told the News Shopper: "We came rushing out once we heard loud bangs, it was chaos.
"My thoughts are with the woman's family".

Two officers who had been inside the unmarked car were taken to hospital but have since been released.
Police have advised road users that they will need to find alternative routes as a road closure is expected to remain in place today.
