London's Air Ambulance has been flown to the scene of a crash involving a police car and another vehicle in Blackheath. 

The incident occurred on the A20 Eltham Road near to the junction with Kidbrooke Park Road at approximately 6.15pm today (October 17). 

The London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade were also dispatched to the scene. 

A spokesperson for the Met has confirmed the presence of London's Air Ambulance, a charity that helps treat London's most seriously ill patients.

At present, details of any injuries are yet to be confirmed by the emergency services. 

Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

Road closures remain in place.

According to the AA's live map, a road closure is in place in both directions on Eltham Road between South Circular and Sidcup Road. 

The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for a statement in connection to the crash.
