London Ambulance Service has issued a statement after a man in his 20s was found injured in Thamesmead.

A fight broke out in Hartslock Drive near Southmere Lake at around 12.20pm yesterday (October 13).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.

An ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance also attended.

The man was found suffering a cut and a head injury and he was taken to hospital for treatment.

His injuries were assessed as non-life threatening or life changing.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries into the circumstances continue.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called 12.34pm yesterday (Sunday 13 October) to reports of an incident in Hartslock Drive, SE2.

“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance.

 “Our crews treated a man at the scene, before taking him to a London major trauma centre by road, as a priority.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 12:20hrs on Sunday, 13 October to reports of a fight in Hartslock Drive, SE2.

“Officers, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended.

“A man, believed aged in his 20s, was found suffering a cut and a head injury. He was taken to hospital for treatment – his injuries are not life threatening or life changing.

“No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue.
