One of the oldest pubs in south east London is set to welcome customers again today after being forced to close due to a burst water main.
The Wickham Arms, located at 69 Upper Brockley Road, lost water supply yesterday (October 10) when the mains burst just outside, leaving it unable to operate.
Staff have since confirmed that that the pub will reopen today (Friday), ensuring it is back in business for the weekend.
In a Facebook post shared yesterday, a spokesperson for the Wickham Arms said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will keep you updated if anything changes."
According to the pub’s Facebook page, the popular brewery opens at 3pm on Fridays, and 12pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
This Saturday (October 12) will see band JD and the Bear return to The Wickham Arms with their “Sweet Soul Music, and Funk and Rock”.
