Nestled in one of London’s most luxurious hotels in a location of dreams is an Italian restaurant with brunch menus to die for.

The Bulgari hotel is located in Knightsbridge just a stone’s throw away from Harrods, and is a beautiful part of the area.

The modern Italian restaurant, Sette by Scarpetta, which is tucked away inside the hotel has this month launched its limited edition White Truffle menu to mark the beginning of white truffle season.

The indulgent menu was launched on October 1 and is on offer until December 31.

It highlights the luxurious flavours of fresh white truffle, offering decadent dishes each with three grams of white truffle – including the scrambled eggs with butter and white truffle (£45), angus beef tartar with white truffle (£53), homemade tagliatelle with butter and white truffle (£65) and risotto with butter, parmesan and white truffle (£65).

Granted, this is not a cheap menu to choose from, in fact quite the opposite, but the setting, quality of ingredients and flavours make it worth it.

Sette has also created a unique White Truffle Negroni to elevate the experience, created with White Truffle Infused Engine Gin, Quaglia Bergamot Liqueur, and Lillet Blanc which is priced at £40.

The white truffle menu is on offer in addition to Sette’s usual New York style brunch – also with a mouth-watering menu and with so much choice it makes it difficult.

I went to Sette for lunch with my friend after a little mooch and shop around Knightsbridge – mostly window shop I should add – and it was the perfect time for some delicious food.

We went for a more New York-style focussed lunch, but the kind waiters gave us the truffle tagliatelle to try as well – and this was an absolute treat.

I went for the ‘scarpetta’ spaghetti, as recommended by our kind and helpful waiter, which is made with san marzanto tomato and basil.

(Image: Immy Share, Newsquest) Despite just being a pasta and tomato sauce dish, it was as delicious as our waiter said and you could tell how fresh the ingredients were that it had been made with. The portion was a generous size too which I really appreciated.

My friend went for the lobster tagliolini and she said hers was just as delicious – again, fresh, good-sized, aesthetic and tasty.

We put the white truffle pasta in the middle and ate it in turns with our own mains. The truffle was of a high quality and the pasta a buttery, soft and mild pairing.

Instead of going for a starter we decided to go for dessert, and although we were pretty much full from our main courses – when the desserts sound, look and taste like this – you’d be wrong to refuse.

(Image: Immy Share, Newsquest) My friend went for an espresso budino which is made with salted caramel, chocolate biscotti and hazelnut gelato, and I went for the American pancakes which came with berries, syrup and cream.

We were in heaven, and enjoyed indulging, chatting, listening to the live singer at Sette and sipping on our drinks.

My pancakes were fluffy, light, sweet, and I have been thinking of them ever since I finished my last bite.

Although cocktails and alcohol are on offer with the menu, we went for apple juice smoothies and I had a hot chocolate which was creamy, decadent and frothy.

The whole lunch experience felt luxurious, relaxing and worth the price tag, and I’d recommend for anyone looking to treat themselves in one of London’s most upmarket neighbourhoods.
