If you’re looking for a Halloween experience that goes beyond the usual haunted houses and costume parties, Phantom Peak’s Hallowed Peak event is the perfect way to dive into the spooky season.
This experience is located at Canada Water and is known for transporting visitors to a quirky town filled with eccentric characters and intricate quests.
Think of it as a combination of a real-life videogame, escape room and west-end production where you play your own part.
Each visit promises a new story as the town evolves with changing seasons, keeping the experience fresh and exciting for both newcomers and returning visitors.
From the moment we stepped into Phantom Peak, we could feel that things weren’t quite right—in the best possible way.
The town had transformed for the Halloween season, with thick fog rolling in and unsettling music.
It was the perfect introduction to Hallowed Peak, a seasonal event that cranks up the spooky factor, making it clear that this isn’t your ordinary trip to the town.
Right from the start, the cast of quirky characters nailed it and continued to be consistent and engaging throughout the four hours. The opening show set the tone with a mysterious “incident” that had the whole town buzzing.
The entire experience is guided through your phone, leading you to interact with characters, solve puzzles, and search for hints.
The quests this time round were eerie and had spooky storylines, with cryptic clues and odd interactions with characters who seemed a little too comfortable with the supernatural.
At the end of each quest, you're rewarded with a keepsake card, a memento of your adventure.
One of the more bizarre moments had me making a blood pact at the post office, and I even found myself being baptized into a strange cosmic church by the end of the night.
Phantom Peak has always been good at throwing these weird, out-of-left-field scenarios at you, and it just adds to the fun.
Everywhere we turned, the town had these little Halloween touches that made it feel like we were in the middle of a horror video game.
Even with the spooky atmosphere, there were plenty of laughs—sometimes because the characters went off-script and played along with our own antics, which always makes the experience more personal and memorable.
There was even a fancy-dress competition, and the regular visitors to Phantom Peak really went all out with their spooky attire.
The highlight, as always, was the Platypus Hooking game (Phantom Peak’s twist on hook-a-duck), though our score of six didn’t come close to the night’s record.
Phantom Peak’s Halloween-themed drinks menu was a hit, although the cocktails weren’t quite as polished as I’ve had in the past at previous Phantom Peak visits unfortunately.
They were strong, though and it was opening night so maybe this will improve as staff get more comfortable with the new menu.
If you’re after a Halloween event that’s as fun as it is immersive, Phantom Peak’s Hallowed Peak is the place to be.
Between the haunted quests, eerie rituals, and playful interactions with characters, it’s a spooky adventure that’s perfect for all ages.
