The Dartford Crossing will see a variation of closures across the first weekend in October.

Starting on Friday, October 4, both the West and East tunnels will face overnight closures for essential maintenance, impacting northbound traffic on the A282.

Diversions will be in place through National Highways roads, but travellers are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys.

Closures will span multiple days, with specific works taking place each night, including grillage and waterproofing maintenance.

The Dartford Crossing, previously known as the Dartford Tunnel until 1991, is a major road crossing over the River Thames in England.

It connects Dartford in Kent (south) to Thurrock in Essex (north) via the A282 road.
