A woman has died after a crash on a busy road in Blackheath.
The incident in Kidbrooke Park Road near Pegler Square just before 8.30am today (October 1).
An ambulance crew, a paramedic in fast response car, an incident response officer, members of the Tactical Response Unit and an air ambulance from London Ambulance Service attended.
The woman was found injured and treated at the scene however she was pronounced dead shortly after.
Kidbrooke Park Road remains closed both ways between Weigall Road and Henley Cross as the incident is dealt with.
Bus routes 178 and 335 are currently on diversion.
We have contacted Metropolitan Police for further information.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.26am this morning (Tuesday 1 October) to reports of a road traffic collision in Pegler Square, Kidbrooke.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in fast response car, an incident response officer, members of our Tactical Response Unit and London’s Air Ambulance.
“The first of our crews arrived in six minutes.
“Our crews treated a woman at the scene. Sadly, despite the best efforts of emergency services, she died at the scene.”
