Police have been given extra powers around Bromley College following a series of incidents and disorder involving students and attendees.

The order was authorised by Inspector Baker and came into effect at 10am on Thursday, September 26.

It will remain active until 6pm on Friday, September 27.

The affected area includes Bromley Common and Holwood Ward, as outlined on a map shared by the authorities.

The decision was made in response to growing concerns over disorder linked to confrontations at the college.

Police officers and designated PCSOs can use Section 35 dispersal powers to address individuals aged 10 or older involved in antisocial behaviour, crime, or disorder.

These powers can be used not only when incidents have already happened or are happening but also when there is a likelihood that they might occur.

Officers will be patrolling the area, and anyone refusing to comply could face arrest.

We have approached Bromley College for further information.
