A busy road in Greenwich is set to close for six days for gas works.
Red Lion Lane will be shut to vehicles from Monday, October 7 to allow Southern Gas Network to carry out service disconnection works.
The closure will be in place for up to 18 months, but the works are expected to take just six days.
The closure will be outside number 114, and traffic will be diverted via Constitution Rise and Shooters Hill.
The road will temporarily become two-way for the duration of the works.
Pedestrians will not be affected, and vehicle access will be maintained wherever possible.
The Royal Borough of Greenwich is making the order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
A spokesperson for the Royal Borough of Greenwich said: "The Royal Borough of Greenwich intends to make this Order in exercise of powers under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
"This is to facilitate works by Southern Gas Network who need to carry out service disconnection works."
The order can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
The restrictions will only apply during times and to the extent indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The closure will not apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used in connection with the works.
Queries concerning these works should be directed to the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s Directorate of Regeneration, Enterprise & Skills on 020 8921 6340.
