I tried the new brunch menu at a popular Nepalese Blackheath restaurant – and I couldn’t believe the value.

If there’s one thing that weekends were made for, it's brunch, and Blackheath now has a new spot where you can get a full-on Nepalese style one.

The Everest Inn is a popular family-run restaurant in Blackheath and has been part of the scene since it first opened in 2008, winning many awards over the years.

If you’ve never had a chance to try the food, this menu has some of the staple dishes like pani puri, chilli paneer and lolli, a garlic and chilli lime chicken wing.

Two of my favourite dishes were the minced lamb with green chutney as well as the fried calamari with nepai spices and seet chilli.

The tikka masala was a classic, creamy and flavoursome, whilst the lakeside fish was delicious with a thin crispy batter covered with Nepalese spices.

For dessert we were served a platter that included Kufti ice cream, a light sponge cake and a selection of sorbets.

If you ask me, this is definitely £35 well spent, or £55 if you want to go for the bottomless option.

Bottomless brunch is served every Saturday at the Everest Inn between 12pm and 4:30pm, with slots bookable online.
