Armed police flocked to a busy road in Welling after gunshots were reportedly fired.
The incident happened in Upper Wickham Lane just before 7.10pm on September 20.
Officers, including specialist firearms officers, attended.
No victims have yet been identified.
A crime scene was put in place as the incident was dealt with but it has since been lifted.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries into the circumstances continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at about 7.11pm on Friday, 20 September, to reports of a firearm discharge in Upper Wickham Lane, Welling.
"Officers, including specialist firearms officers, attended.
"There were no reports of injuries.
"At this stage no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
"Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD6893/20SEP.
"You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
