The following cases were heard at Bromley and Bexley Magistrates’ Courts on Friday, September 13, 2024:
CONNOR HOLLIER, 18, of Weardale Road in Lewisham admitted possessing an offensive weapon – a machete – in public on Staplehurst Road on August 14. Hollier was given a six-month sentence suspended for two years as this was only his second-strike knife offence and there is a realistic prospect of rehabilitation.
TAREQ BANNOUR, of St Stephens Square in Tovil, admitted possessing a lock knife in public on Baring Road on August 22. Bannour was given an eight week sentence suspended for one year. In mitigation the court heard he had recently suffered an unprovoked attack and was walking with a crutch.
SHANE BIGNALL, 39, of no fixed abode in Bromley, admitted stealing meats and milkshakes worth £173 from BP in Orpington. Bignall was jailed for 16 weeks as the court heard he was offending to feed a drug addiction.
COLETTE LUPSON, 46, of Church Manorway in Abbey Wood, admitted fraud by false representation by using a stolen credit card in a Shell Garage in Bexleyheath on February 22. Lupson was jailed for 16 weeks.
