A large field fire in near the A2 Gravesend which has been burning since Saturday night is causing visibility issues on the road.
The fire broke out on the evening of Saturday, September 14, and has spread through a large amount of hay bales near Foxhounds Lane.
As of 8pm on Sunday, September 15, local residents were still being urged to keep their windows and doors closed due to thick smoke continuing to blow across the area.
The fire has also caused visibility issues for drivers on the A2, with smoke drifting across the busy road.
Five fire engines and a bulk water carrier were deployed to the scene, and crews have been working tirelessly to bring the flames under control.
While firefighters say they have made good progress, the blaze is still being worked on.
Residents have been reminded to remain cautious and to share this information with others who may not have internet access, particularly those living around the affected area.
