A beloved sandwich shop in Dartford may “have no choice but to close” at the end of October after facing a struggle to stay afloat.
Sally Sue’s Sandwich Bar, based in St Vincent’s Road, has shared a statement on Facebook announcing that despite working hard to stay open, the business may have to close.
The business has struggled for over eight months and claims to have tried everything to stay open.
The statement goes on to share that it has had to cut its staff from eight to four, which includes Sally Sue herself.
She has also suffered with physical health issues for several months and for these reasons, will close at the end of October if business does not improve.
Sally Sue pleas for people to support small businesses where they can as it is tough for all of them and thanks customers for their support.
The post has been flooded with supportive comments from people wishing the sandwich bar well and suggesting ideas to keep the spot open.
The full statement reads: “It’s with a heavy heart I’m doing this.
“Sally Sue’s has struggled for the last 8+ months I have tried everything to keep afloat.
“We have gone from eight staff to four which includes Sasha and myself I have struggled with physical health issues the last three months.
“I have decided to get be it till the end of October if it doesn’t pick up, I will have no choice but to close.
“Please where you can support small businesses I know it’s tough for us all let’s support each other.
“Thank you for all your support.”
