A person has reportedly been seen with a knife near Bexleyheath shopping centre.
The incident was reported to police in Broadway, Bexleyheath at around 6pm yesterday (September 12).
Officers were called to the scene but could not locate the person.
A section 35 dispersal order has since been authorised near the Broadway until 6pm tomorrow (September 14).

Section 35 gives a police constable and a community support officer in uniform the power to exclude a person from an area for a period of up to 48 hours with a police inspector’s authority.

“This is due to recent incidents of disorder & is in force until 14/09/24 at 1800hrs.”
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Followed a report of someone seen in possession of a knife in the area; officers attended but no person could be located.
“No injuries or reports of a stabbing just for clarity.”
