Vintage buses dating back to the 1950s have been spotted travelling through south east London today.

(Image: Emily Davison) The buses served both the 261 and 61 bus routes, with the 261 route travelling between Lewisham Station and Princess Royal Hospital in Locksbottom, and the 61 bus route travelling between Bromley North Station and The Gordon Arms in Chislehurst.

Most of the buses seen in south east London were the historic RT-type, which was the largest standardised bus fleet in the world during the 1950s, along with newer buses over the decades up until the 80s.

The buses were also accompanied by a display of vintage vehicles at Bromley Bus Garage put on by Stagecoach.
